Juan Nicolas Herrera La Rotta

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

My research lies at the intersection of public, and urban economics. 

One strand of my work examines the pass-through of value-added taxes into housing prices and how tax policy affects property characteristics and buyers’ and sellers’ behavior.

A second strand strand of my work studies how corporate taxation affects firm behavior, with a focus on employment and investment decisions.
